Project: “The Love We Long For” Promotional TVC
Year: 2026

Overview
Orgil Media produced the promotional TVC for “The Love We Long For” (“Үгүйлэгдсэн хайр”), a lyrical drama by renowned Mongolian writer Bavuu Lkhagvasuren, restaged by the State Academic Drama Theatre of Mongolia in a renewed production directed by N. Naranbaatar. The play explores the many forms of love people seek throughout life — romantic love, family affection, compassion, understanding, human warmth and the emotional connection that gives relationships meaning. Our task was to translate that emotional depth into a concise promotional film that could introduce the production to audiences without revealing too much of the story.
Our Role
Orgil Media handled the creative and production process for the promotional TVC, developing a visual approach that reflected the atmosphere of the stage production while adapting it for screen.
Our scope included:
- creative concept development;
- production planning;
- filming;
- visual direction;
- capturing key dramatic moments and performances;
- editing and pacing;
- sound and post-production;
- final delivery for promotional and digital use.
Translating Theatre to Screen
A theatre promotional film has a different purpose from conventional advertising. It must communicate the emotional world of the production while preserving enough mystery to make audiences want to experience the full performance on stage. For “The Love We Long For,” the creative direction focused on the central human idea behind the play: that everyone, in different ways, longs for love, care, understanding and connection. Rather than summarizing the plot, the TVC was built around atmosphere, performance, visual tension and selected emotional moments from the production.
Building Curiosity Through Emotion
The challenge was to balance storytelling with restraint. The video needed to give audiences a sense of the characters, relationships and emotional intensity of the play without explaining the full narrative. Through carefully selected imagery, pacing and sound, the TVC was designed to create an emotional impression first — allowing the audience to feel the world of the play before seeing it in the theatre.
Supporting Mongolian Theatre Through Content
This project represents another area of Orgil Media’s content-production work: creating promotional content for arts and cultural productions. The objective was not to reshape the play into commercial advertising, but to use film production as a way to extend the theatre experience into another medium while preserving the tone and artistic identity of the original work.
