Overview
On 3 June 2026, Badrakh Energy marked an important milestone in the development of the Zuuvch-Ovoo Project with an official opening ceremony at the project site in Ulaanbadrakh soum, Dornogovi Province. The ceremony formally marked the beginning of the project’s construction phase and brought together senior representatives from Orano, Badrakh Energy, Mongolian national and local authorities, and companies involved in the project. Orgil Media provided event management and on-site production coordination for the ceremony, supporting the delivery of a professionally organized event in a remote project-site environment.
A Milestone for the Zuuvch-Ovoo Project
The ceremony represented a significant transition for Zuuvch-Ovoo—from project development into the construction stage. The Zuuvch-Ovoo uranium deposit was discovered in 2010, and an investment agreement for the development and operation of the project was signed between the Government of Mongolia and Orano in January 2025. The June 2026 ceremony therefore marked the beginning of the next major phase of implementation.

Our Role
Orgil Media was responsible for supporting the overall organization and smooth delivery of the opening ceremony at the Zuuvch-Ovoo site. Our event-management role focused on coordinating the different operational elements required to bring the ceremony together in a remote industrial environment.
The scope included:
- event planning and production coordination;
- on-site setup and ceremony preparation;
- coordination of event suppliers and production teams;
- program and ceremony-flow coordination;
- guest and stakeholder experience support;
- branding and physical event elements;
- technical and operational coordination;
- on-site event management;
- supervision of the event from setup through completion.
Producing an Event at a Remote Project Site
A ceremony at an operating project site requires a different approach from a conventional venue. Infrastructure, transportation, access requirements, weather conditions, equipment movement, site procedures and guest logistics all become part of the production plan. For Orgil Media, the priority was to coordinate these elements within one operational framework so the event could run smoothly while respecting the requirements of the project environment. Careful advance preparation and close coordination between the client, production teams, suppliers and site personnel were therefore central to the delivery.

A High-Level Stakeholder Event
The opening ceremony welcomed senior project and government stakeholders. Public reporting confirms the participation of Orano Group Chairman, Dornogovi Governor, Ulaanbadrakh Governor, representatives of Mongolia’s Nuclear Energy Commission, government institutions, Orano Mining and Badrakh Energy leadership, as well as project contractors. For an event of this nature, production needs to support the significance of the occasion while remaining precise, controlled and efficient. Our role was to create the operational environment in which the formal program, stakeholder participation and site activities could proceed as planned.

Event Management Beyond the Venue
The Zuuvch-Ovoo opening demonstrates an important part of Orgil Media’s event-production capability: delivering events outside conventional urban venues. From corporate environments to remote industrial sites, our approach is built around understanding the operational conditions first and then developing the production around them. For the Zuuvch-Ovoo ceremony, that meant combining event planning, logistics, physical setup and on-site coordination to support a milestone moment for Badrakh Energy and its partners.
